Fresno Shooting At Least4 killed, 6 Wounded in a Shooting, California

At least 10 people were killed, four of them in Fresno, California


• Police in Fresno, California, said a group of friends and family gathered in a backyard on Sunday to watch a football match when a gunman marched and started shooting, killing four youths and wounding six others.

• About 35 to 40 people were in the house, including many children, when the suspect, still at large, began shooting at the crowd, police said.

• 'He may have been at least one suspect and started shooting,' said Fresno deputy police chief Michael Reid. 'They shot at the backyard where most people were at this gathering, wounding at least 10 people.'

• The first responders arrived at around 8 pm,

• Michael Reid told reporters after receiving several 911 calls, he found 'three people down' and several gunshot wounds, as officers immediately began performing CPR.

• Fresno Reid, deputy police chief, also said there was no immediate indication that the suspect knew the victims. 'There was no indication that the gang was linked to the shooting, but this is something we will look at.'

• The victims were Asian men aged between 25 and 30 who were killed, three of whom were declared dead at the scene of the shooting.

• Fresno Reid said five more victims were taken to the CRMC with gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening, and another man was taken to another hospital where he received treatment for a minor wound.

• 'I am very upset with the families who have fallen victim to this senseless violence, We will do everything in our power to find out who the perpetrators are and bring them to justice.'
